The Sachsenring is a circuit with an extraordinary motorsport custom since hustling on streets close to the town of Chemnitz started in 1920 and proceeded there until 1990. In 1996 it was chosen to assemble the new Sachsenring circuit around ten km away from the German town, and its first German GP occurred there in 1998. From that point forward the circuit has gone through a progression of enhancements, remembering an extreme change for the track design in 2001. Its various tight bends make it one of the slowest circuits on the schedule, yet these qualities guarantee that races at the Sachsenring are continually energizing and hard-battled.
